The cardiovascular diseases or commonly known as heart diseases are the number one killer in the world and Malaysian are not spared from it. The state-of-art technology cannot prevent the diseases from happen. The only way to reduce heart diseases is prevention, which means the life style must be changed. It is very easy to prevent heart diseases. What we should do is to eat right and exercise. A proper diet can reduce heart diseases by half. By walking a mile a day will reduce the chances of getting heart diseases. The chances of smokers to contracting to the diseases are more by 30 % to 40% as compared to the non-smoking person.
The cardiovascular were common in both men and women although pre-menopausal women are less likely to contract heart diseases, but after menopause, the change of women contracting heart diseases increase and 65 years of age, it is more or less on par with men.
